Completely Uninstalling BioMeridian Software

The BioMeridian software can be removed through the Add/Remove programs section of your control panel.  This will remove the software from your computer.  The instructions below outline how to complete this uninstall and optionally show how to remove all shared programs, registry keys, and file folders.  Caution: By uninstalling the registry keys and shared programs you may cause other programs to malfunction uninstall at your own risk.  This process will also delete your database causing all patient records to be lost - be sure you have a backup of your database.

Interbase should be turned off prior to uninstalling this software.  For help turning off Interbase please refer to the section titled Turning Interbase On and Off.

1.       At the Windows desktop, click Start, then Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs.

2.       Click on the program you wish to remove and click Remove.

3.       Remove all programs relating to BioMeridian.  This includes BEST System, MSAS System, IMAG System, and Nexus.

4.       Close the control panel.

5.       Click on My Computer, then C Drive (Local Disk C), Program Files.

6.       Remove the BioMeridian, Borland, and  Interbase Folders by right clicking on them one at a time and left clicking on Delete.

7.       Close all open folders.

8.       Empty recycle bin by right clicking the recycle bin and left clicking on Empty Recycle Bin.

9.       At the Windows desktop, click Start, then Run, then type regedit in the text box and click OK.

10.     The registry editor will open with a tree navigation system on the left hand side.  Open My Computer then HKEY_CURRENT_USER then Software

11.     Remove the BioMeridian, Borland, and Interbase keys by right clicking on each folder one at a time and then left clicking on Delete.

12.     Close the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder by clicking on the (-) sign next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER

13.     Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE then Software.

14.     Remove the BioMeridian, Borland, and Interbase keys by right clicking on each folder one at a time and then left clicking on Delete.

15.       Close the Registry Editor.  The BioMeridian Software is now completely uninstalled.
