Exporting and Importing Custom Libraries

Exporting a Custom Library

This function allows you to save a Custom Library you created to a disk so you can share it with someone else.

1.       In the Custom Library Editor program…

2.       Open the Custom Library you wish to export

3.       The Open Custom Library dialog box will appear.

4.       Highlight the name of the library you wish to export.  Click on OK.

5.       The dialog box will disappear and the Custom Library will be loaded in the right side of the screen.

6.       From the menu bar, select Custom Library>Export.

7.       The Export Custom Library pop-up window will appear.

8.       Select the destination drive in the Save in: field.  Insert a blank disk into the destination drive .

9.       Click on Save.

A copy of you Custom Library will now be saved to the disk.

Importing a Custom Library

1.       Close the MSAS program and open the Custom Library Editor program.

2.       Insert the disk containing the Custom Library to be imported into the disk drive.  For example: insert a floppy disk into the A: drive.

3.       From the menu bar, select Custom Library>Import.

4.       The Import Custom Library pop-up window will appear.

5.       Locate the correct drive in the Look in: field.  To do this, click on the 6 and then click on 3 ˝ Floppy A drive.

6.       The contents of the disc in the A drive will now be displayed.  If there's only a folder displayed as the contents of the A drive, double click on the folder to open it so the names of the individual Custom Libraries will be displayed.

7.       Highlight the name of the Custom Library to be imported.  Click on Open.

8.       The New Custom Library dialog box will appear.  If desired, you may change the name of the Library in the Custom Library Name field.  If you do not want to change the name, simply click on OK.

9.       Repeat the above steps to import any additional custom libraries.

10.   Save and close the imported Custom Library

11.   When you open the MSAS program, the imported library will appear in the Custom Library tab.
